Health

The procedure for health claims varies depending on the plan and the cover you have in your policy and the insurance company you are insured with.

The main steps to follow are as follows :

Admission notice

Call the Health Coordination Centre of the insurance company that has taken out your insurance.

There you will find information on:

  • about the Contracted Hospitals
  • for hospitals or pharmacies on duty
  • to organise emergency transport to a hospital

What to disclose if you are hospitalised

  • Your full name
  • Your insurance policy number
  • The reason for your hospitalisation
  • The hospital you have chosen (contracted or not)
  • The date of your admission to the hospital

On admission to a Contracted Hospital

a. When you are admitted to the hospital, do not forget to bring the following documents with you:

  • Your identity card or passport,
  • Your Social Security number
  • Your Insurance contract

b. You must then inform the hospital (patient movement office) of your forthcoming hospitalisation, informing your insurance company at the same time , giving your insurance policy number and whether or not you will be using your main insurance provider or another private provider (e.g. group insurance). This is followed by obtaining your medical history and completing the claim form.

You may in some cases be asked to provide additional documentation beyond what you submitted at the time of your claim. If this is the case, we will inform you of this and will consult with you about their submission.
